Today We are presenting you the last version of the world famous painting of Edouard Manet, “A Bar at the Folies-Berg?re”, the last big work of the great master:
At the first and world reknown version of this masterpiece that depicts the famous cabaret Folie Bergere in Paris one can see the beautiful barmaid Suzon. Having painted her, Edouard Manet realized that the bar in a cabaret is a bad place for a young lady. Look at her very sad eyes:
One can find the reason of her sadness in the mirror reflection behind her back: a moustached gentleman is asking her to give him definetely not a tangerine. Having in mind this scandalous fact, Manet painted another canvas and placed an honest brave orange Cat instead of poor girl. We were honoured to be a model for this painting. We also have a moustache, and We are foolproof.
Can I help you, Sir? – We ask a moustached gentleman. And having look at the honest sincere Cat eyes, a gentleman says firmly: ” A glass of champaign please, and a couple of tangerines”. And no more of him!
